Blood for a child who cannot wait 21 days more.

Manavta Dham, Zindagi Live Foundation stands with children and adults living with Thalassemia — organising blood donation camps and arranging financial help so no family faces this fight alone.

21–28 DAYS BETWEEN TRANSFUSIONS

Unlike a one-time donation, a Thalassemia patient needs fresh blood every few weeks, for life. That's the cycle we help keep unbroken.

Who we are

A promise made in Ludhiana, kept for over a decade.

MANAVTA DHAM — LUDHIANA

Zindagi Live Foundation, based at Manavta Dham in Ludhiana, Punjab, has worked since 2011 for children and adults affected by Thalassemia — a lifelong blood disorder that most of our patients were born with, through no fault of their own.

Our work is simple and unglamorous: we organise regular blood donation camps so that thalassemia wards never run short, and we help arrange financial support for families for whom transfusions, medicines, and hospital visits are a constant burden. We work alongside hospitals, blood banks, and fellow NGOs across the region so that patients are never turned away for want of blood.

"Every unit of blood we collect is someone's tomorrow. As long as Manavta Dham stands, no child in our care will wait for it alone."

The condition we fight

What is Thalassemia?

Thalassemia is an inherited blood disorder passed down from parents to a child. It disrupts the body's ability to make haemoglobin, so red blood cells break down faster than the body can replace them.

Without regular transfusions of healthy blood, a child with severe Thalassemia becomes dangerously anaemic — tired, breathless, and unable to grow normally. With timely, regular transfusions and proper care, most patients today can live long, active, and full lives.

That single fact — that blood, given regularly, is the difference between struggle and a normal childhood — is why blood donation camps are at the heart of everything we do.

Our work

Three ways we show up for patients.

01

Blood Donation Camps

We organise and support regular voluntary blood donation camps across Ludhiana, keeping local blood banks stocked for thalassemia wards.

02

Financial Assistance

We help connect families with support for transfusions, medicines, and related hospital costs that would otherwise be out of reach.

03

Awareness & Referrals

We guide new and worried families to the right hospitals, blood banks, and thalassemia wards, so no one has to search alone in an emergency.

Two ways to help today.

Donate Blood

One unit of blood you give can be the reason a child doesn't miss their transfusion this month. Camps are held regularly — reach out to know the next date and venue.
